This release improves how learners receive important activity and updates several of our most important credential workflows. It also brings our OpenID credential implementation in line with the final 1.0 specifications.

Live Notifications While Using LearnCard

Connection requests, credentials, and other incoming events can now appear immediately while LearnCard is open.

On mobile devices, foreground events display as tappable notifications. On the web, LearnCard checks for new activity and presents a matching in-app message. Selecting the notification opens the Alerts area.

This release also fixes several related issues, including repeated loading flashes, connection requests requiring two clicks, and notification claim links that could crash before the credential finished loading.

LC-1924: Build My LearnCard Redesign

Build My LearnCard is no longer presented as a checklist that learners complete once. It now emphasizes repeatable actions for adding and updating information throughout a learner’s journey.

The experience also adds credential claim QR support. Learners can upload a QR-code image on the web or scan one using the native application. Uploaded certificates are attached to the resulting Portfolio credential so the original evidence remains available.

Clearer Revoked and Suspended Credentials

Credential revocation and suspension now have a complete learner-facing experience.

Holders receive notifications when a credential is revoked, suspended, or restored. Affected credentials remain visible in the Passport, but display a clear status label, a status seal, and adjusted visual styling.

Issuer activity views also refresh automatically and show separate revoked and suspended counts. Newly issued supported credentials include both revocation and suspension status information for external verification.

Final OpenID4VC 1.0 Support

LearnCard’s OpenID credential issuance and presentation tools now support the final OID4VCI 1.0 and OID4VP 1.0 specifications.

The implementation was tested against an external interoperability suite for both credential issuance and presentation. Compatibility with earlier draft implementations remains available for issuers and verifiers that have not yet migrated.

For learners, this means more reliable credential exchanges with standards-compliant external systems. For developers, it provides a current foundation for OpenID-based issuing and verification workflows.

Also for developers and LearnCard-powered applications

• Partner Connect SDK Mock Mode allows partner applications to run and demonstrate realistic LearnCard interactions outside the LearnCard host during development.

• Tenant-configurable image providers allow LearnCard-powered applications to use Filestack or S3-compatible image storage.

• Credential and application infrastructure received additional interoperability, reliability, and deployment improvements.
